We welcome you to a meditation retreat at Ananda Girisuta Master Unit (Prama Institute), close to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina, from February 25 to March 1, 2026. This retreat will include a full-day schedule with yoga, meditation, classes, walks in nature, and various other activities. 
You can expect the mind to undergo a profound positive mental and spiritual transformation during those four days. We will keep the daily routine harmonious with a balanced combination of getting up early, resting early, enjoying good food and classes, getting plenty of fresh air, and enjoying meditation and social interactions. Apart from the classes and activities, we will have breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to our schedule, prepared by our volunteers, Dada and Didi.

5-Day Spiritual Hiking and Meditation Retreat, August 12 - 16, 2026, at Ananda Dhiira, Penn Valley, CA
Join us for a refreshing spiritual adventure in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains! Our Spiritual Backpacking Trip offers a unique blend of outdoor exploration and inner growth — a time to connect deeply with nature, enjoy uplifting company, and rejuvenate body and mind through meditation, kiirtan, and simple living in the open air. This year’s journey is planned for August 12–16, 2026, with any location within 1 - 3 hours from Ananda Dhiira as our intended destination. Final trail details will be confirmed closer to the date, but the general outline will remain the same: we will meet at Ananda Dhiira on Wednesday evening, begin our backpacking trip from Thursday to Sunday, and then return to Ananda Dhiira for a closing lunch on Sunday before concluding the program.

You can expect the mind to undergo a profound positive mental and spiritual transformation during those five days of yoga, meditation, classes, walks in nature, and various other activities. 
We will keep the daily routine harmonious with a balanced combination of getting up early, resting early, enjoying good food and classes, getting plenty of fresh air, and enjoying meditation and social interactions. We will enjoy delicious sattvik vegan and vegetarian breakfast, lunch, and dinner, prepared by the leading teachers, Didi Ananda Acira and Dada Diiptimanananda.
